Occasional knitter needs markers

I’ve been knitting a little more than usual recently, but the knitting “mojo” is almost gone now. I surely wanted some of those nice little notions sometime when I was knitting. Meanwhile, another me kept reminding myself of the limited space in our apartment. Hopefully I didn’t expand my stash and my tool kit too much.
On the other side, for a little more serious knitting project, say a garment, there are some really necessary tools, e.g. stitch markers and stitch holders. Without any stitch markers, I may have to count the same 100+ stitches over and over before carrying it on. I have a yogurt bottle to keep scrap yarn I got from the projects. No matter how short the yarn would be, I keep it. Whenever I need a marker, I simply pick a piece distinct with the working color and tie a slip knot onto the needle or a stitch so it can be taken off easily later.

Even though it has been in the weather forecast, I still couldn’t believe my eye this morning. It is SNOWING!
And….when I arrived in France this afternoon, it’s sunny…….

Finally, I survived from the exam week and started packing for the LONG vacation. I cannot wait to see the families and the friends. Hopefully, the unusual heavy snow won’t be so much trouble for us.

I’ll stay here for the weekend. I could go home on Thursday afternoon, but it’s risky that I might not be able to come back on Monday, or even next week. The situation of railway services is not improving anyway. I hope the strike would be over soon.

I had several deadlines, several new tasks and several meetings in two cities this week. It’s great this busy week is going to the “end”. And, it’s great I can finally talk about my crafts.
Some were wondering how I can put my yarns into a bottle, while some even thought I bought such a bottle of yarn as a whole. Well, I wish there would be such things available here, but the truth is it’s something everyone can make. Continue Reading Drinking and Knitting…

It’s so quiet this morning. There is no so much noise from the trains as usual. I almost started to wonder if the GDL already started their strikes. Hopefully, they haven’t YET. Maybe people just don’t wanna go out so early because of the temperature drop overnight. We can finally expect a real winter this year. 🙂
I didn’t have a nice sleep last night. After some weird nightmares, I got up and waited for the sunrise. Only after the sunrise can I take photos of the little toy I made before I went to bed last night. It’s a bunny, a typical quiet creature.
