I bet this one is the most well known among all 15 inchies I drew. Taiji symbolreflects the concept of Yin and Yang. For me, it’s rather a religious symbol as it’s usually seen in Taoist temples. The Taiji symbol together with Bagua is a very important component for Fengshui. I’ve seen a Taiji-Bagua on the roof of a friend’s home. Such an ornament is said to be talismanic.

Hair Story

It is relatively cheap to get a hair cut in China. I was so eager to have my hair cut right after we arrived that I didn’t do any researches on salons beforehand. I looked OK when the haircut was done, but my hair went wild one night after I washed it.  I went to another hairdresser for help and was told the problem couldn’t be totally fixed right away without too much cutting. He straightened my hair to make me look much better. Now, almost one month of the haircut, I can see my hair going out of control again. That’s why I thought of making a headband. It’s very useful and convenient, especially when I just get out of the bed in the morning.
