Big fortune

This new necklace is not very different form the one I made a while ago. They are actually for the same friend, who is moving to the capital city very soon. She asked for a euro (€) pendant right after I showed her the dollar sign as we are living in Eurozone. I chose orange thread over red ones because the orange bill has the high value than the red one. 😛 Considering the previous one as an experimental prototype, I think this one is fairly mature and complete. I also added a few metal parts and a piece of black thread to make this necklace to look more interesting. Hopefully this could bring her some big fortune.

Belated greetings

Time flies extremely fast at the beginning of a new year. Half a month of the new decade has gone. I didn’t make any updates for so long. It might not be a good sign. 😛 Anyway, happy new year to everyone checking here regularly.

It was the coldest week here since I moved here. It was quite an active week for me, partly because of Bec’s short visit to town. She came back for her final defense and left 2 days after. The defense was no doubt successful. Accordingly, she’s got a big title now. I cannot find any excuses not to prepare something for this important event. I couldn’t decided until the week is finally approaching, when I still had at least 3 potential projects in front of me, not mentioning the ones being withdrew earlier. (Bec, I assure you that you don’t want to know what kind of weird things used to pop up in my mind.) Then, time constraint became an issue, which made the selection much simpler. *shy*Anyway, congratulations, Bec!

Little school kid

A major change to my regular routine in the last few months is that I am attending some classes in the university now. I am after the credit points and I am expect any kinds of intensive learning. It is simply making me happy to take 2 hours off research every few days and hopefully I can actually grab something new and useful at the mean time. 😛 Therefore, it does not matter so much whether the teacher’s good or the contents are interesting. I had no concrete plan on how long I was going to stay in the classes at the beginning. The plastic bag I used to hold the course materials began to be torn apart after 2 months. I figured it gotta be the best time to make myself a little tote as a reward for learning. 😀

The “Magic Ball” without magic

December 14, 2009 at 2:51 pm | Posted in All Finished Crafts, Craft - How-to's | 2 Comments

I have no idea why this model is called the “Magic Ball“. All I can see are the trivial pre-ceasing steps required for it. It is definitely a good material for building up one’s patience, at least for some perfectionists. There are quite a few video tutorials for this model available on Youtube.
