1 mm crocheting

It’s always delightful to use it to crochet some trivial pieces in the sun while listening to Q92 if there’s no more important/urgent things to do. My favorite crochet hook was always the smallest one I had, a 1-mm shining one which I got in a dollar store in Montreal. The type of threads doesn’t matter so much, but the sunshine is critical. 🙂 Summer suddenly showed up here right after the bad wet winter reluctantly left. Hopefully the sunshine is able to keep me away from blog hibernation. 😛

So, I’ve been crocheting here and there and got quite a few small pieces finished, including this pair of tiny shoes. The shoes are so small that even Natalie couldn’t put them on. 😀 The pattern was from a Japanese book はじめてのかぎ針編み/ミニモチーフパターン100 and it was the very first thing from that book catching my attention. There are many other cute mini items in this book but none of them is as good as the little shoes. It takes no more than 1 hour to make this pair. The pattern was simple but the result is great. There’s no way to resist. In fact, every book from the series (so called Asahi Original アサヒオリジナル, from the very famous Japanese newspaper publisher) got some attractive designs, however not limited to crochet designs. Here are a few I would like to read:

And a list of other books:

Of course, the shoes were not the only things I’ve crocheted. There’s a small pile of doilies by my window. I have no idea what to do with them…..:P
