Back to Internet, partially
September 15, 2007 at 9:11 pm | Posted in Craft - Books, Craft - How-to's, Craft - Inspirations, Craft - Websites, Misc. | Leave a commentI finally figured out how to break the evil closed loop of getting internet access: McDonald’s! Can you imagine? The truth is one of the McDonald’s here provides free wireless access so that I can activate my school account which is needed for internet access in the student residence. The bad thing is it’s not real internet access…..no instant messenger, no ssh, nothing but http…..in other words, there is no way for me to work remotely in the dorm. 😦
Anyway, I am online again!
One old news: Amigurumi Collection Vol. 6 has been released last month. One good thing about this series is that they usually included all the projects accompanied with patterns in the cover. For people looking for inspiration only, the cover image would be pretty enough. After going through the previous 5 volumes, I didn’t find much surprise. In this volume, my favorite is the white dog with black ears. The peacock on the top and the two mini dolls in the front are also special. Speaking of the cover, why did the editor(s) set up such a grocery scene (see the carrot, asparagus and the egg box)? I don’t see much connection between these amigurumi and food/kitchen.
BTW: snuffykin has an interesting pattern for a TV character Ninth Doctor Who. It can be used to make a Harry Potter also, I think.
