Carving with a Theme

Little Red Riding Hood carved mic

There are two similar online events running in parallel in Japan and Taiwan. Both of them are about carving rubber eraser carving stamps with a common theme every few weeks. Fairytale seems to popular for such events. The previous theme of the Taiwan event was Little Red Riding Hood and the one of the Japanese event was Little Mermaid. I pretty enjoy looking at the submissions and exploring great blogs at the same time. The stamp above is definitely one of my favorites. Don’t miss his funny version of the story if you can read Chinese.😛

I am wondering if there are any such eraser-carving communities speaking English. The only place I know is the flickr group Carve your stamps. There must be some more. Meanwhile, I am feeling a little sad about MOS (again): the pool is full of irrelevant softies and there are usually less than 10 entries every month.😦
