Attempt on Irish crochet

Irish crochet always seems to be a little too delicate for me. It is sometimes tempting to try too.

It is not so exiting to do a whole piece of lace as crocheting the mesh between motifs is a little not only tricky but also boring. Moreover, blocking becomes important due to the weakness of the meshes. Can you imagine how boring the flower would be if it is blocked (all the petals would be flat)? That’s why I only made this little flower. These typical 3D motifs in Irish crochet make nice pins. 🙂

I made this leaf a while ago, also in a semantic class. Unfortunately, it does not work with any of my flowers. >_<
