Busy, busy, busy…..

The only craft project I managed to start/finish this week is a small leaf. The rose was so small that few people noticed it on my backsack. Hopefully, its new leaf help “self-promoting” a little bit. 😀 The “allez-y” pin was from an old friend who had left the French-speaking city also.

If you are thinking the leaf is crocheted…..stop! It’s not crocheted even though it’s made of crochet cotton thread. 🙂 It’s needlelace, again a new challenge for me! Stitches on the two halves are different from each other. The edge is a little clumsy…..I learned this from the book Beginner’s Guide to Stumpwork(ISBN-13: 978-0855328702), which includes comprehensive photo instructions. On page 32, there is a beautiful butterfly pattern which I would try sooner or later.

I am leaving for a island tomorrow. I hope I could still have access to internet over there.

  1. I sure thought it was crocheted. Don’t know how you did it but nice work!
