sigh for flickr

February 7, 2007 at 7:55 pm | Posted in Misc. | 1 Comment

Whenever I start to consider a flickr Pro account, flickr would try their best to stop me. Even if last time may be an accident, what they did this time disappointed me a lot.

Limits for number of groups a picture can be posted in showed up (10 for free accounts) in somewhere in the website TODAY without any notice. You cannot find a word about this in Flickr News, whereas all the pictures have been edited automatically. After forcing me to give up old login name, flickr hurt my feelings very hard again. Probably, from their point of view, users with free account are just NOT entitled to any notifications of policy changes.

I start once again thinking about what if flickr was bought by google. Also, I start considering going back to webshots.

sigh…..

  1. the 10 groups rule for free account has been in existence for several week now, they just want to sign up more paid users,😦

    From ccat:
not really, I was still able to add photos to more groups on Tuesday.
Maybe they are modifying accounts seperately.
I just hate the way they deal with such user issues now.
