Chubbey Stays at Home

A friend asked whether I took Chubbey to France yesterday. The answer is no. I only traveled with her, which is obviously not the case for this moment. It’s been such a different summer for both of us, but unfortunately it’s been officially over. I felt lucky that I had left Chubbey in a warm and cozy place after a few drops dripped from my ceiling this afternoon.

Many people (Toys on Holidays and Traveling Toys) travel with their toys/softies/dolls …. handmade or collected. It is such a handy way to keep a record of the trip. There might several distinct reasons behind this. For me, Chubbey (in the pictures) was usually doing what I was doing or what I wanted to do, such as sitting on a wall or lying in a bear’s arms. She is also a good companion when I am alone on the road. :)

I discovered an interesting Chinese blog today. There, you can find pictures of an amigurumi doll called Wu-Wu traveling around the world. Amazingly, she had different outfits for different trips. It makes me a little guilty that Chubbey has been in the same dress all the time…..probably it’s also time for me to think about a new outfit for her too…..hmm……
